Update.
So, there are a couple cute things that I never posted about, mainly becuse I dont have much time to myself.

Contrary to popular belief, it is not laziness that has kept me from life.....buuuuut....the firefly has become quite mobile

....and she has mastered the art of diaper removal as well.

I definatly have my work cut out for me for ohhhh the next 18 years at least..

I suppose....
...there are a lot of things I could say right now, but why let all the drama consume me? I'm not really interested at the moment. Right now, I'd rather enjoy the gift that I call my baby girl.

There is nothing like drawing hearts on the sidewalk with colored chalk, trying to teach her how to spell her own name.

Don't bother us, we're busy.

From the Hopi
During the past week there have been a few events that deserve our

attention, thought, and examination.

In an unprecedented and totally unexpected way, Hopi Elders for the

first time in history have openly shared their sacred, and

heretofore secret prophecies with the world. Robert Ghost Wolf, noted

Native

American Prophet and author, arranged for two Hopi Elders to appear

for three hours on the nationally aired Art Bell show (out of

Pahrump, NV) and freely discuss their sacred, and heretofore secret

prophecies. It has been said by many who have had limited access to

the prophecies in the past, that the Hopi prophecies of the coming

earth changes are among the most ancient and accurate available. The

Elders have come forth at this time because they believe that we

have passed the point of no return and major changes are imminent,

beginning within the next few months. It is their hope to "soften"

the effects by appealing to all to return to a simpler, more

spiritual way of life.

Last month at Spiritual Endeavours (and returning again this coming

month) noted author, environmentalist, and channeller, Rev. Fred

Sterling carried much the same message. Rev. Sterling

emphasized that "The Great Shift" has already begun. It is happening

now. In other related recent events, Gordon Michael Scallion, Robert

Ghost Wolf, and other modern day prophets began predicting major

Earth Changes, especially noticeable in the state of California

among other places, beginning this summer. And now the Hopi Elders

have gone on national radio with the same message.

So, the Earth is changing? The Great Shift is upon us? What is one

to do? I offer the following in reply.

First of all, if you are in denial - get over it. Open up your eyes.

Take a look around. How's the weather in your neck of the woods?

Perhaps it's a little different than it's ever been for your

locality? Try to find out what's really going on. You wont find out

by watching Hard Copy, or even the Evening News. You'll have to get

away from the latest political scandal of who is sleeping with whom

and dig just a little deeper to find the things of real importance.

Did you know that tornadoes have been spotted, for the first time in

history, that are spinning the wrong way?

Did you know that there are places in Mexico where the ground

temperature is heating up in excess of 200 degrees?

Did you know that during a seven day period in early June there were

772 earthquakes recorded on the California - Nevada border near

Mammoth Lake? (Gordon Michael Scallion and others are predicting a

volcanic eruption there this summer.)

Did you know that on May 31st, the jet stream (an extremely fast

wind current that flows through the upper atmosphere) touched ground

for the first time in recorded history?

Did you know that all over North America, migratory birds have

stopped returning to their nesting grounds? And that salmon are no

longer returning to their spawning grounds? And indigenous tribes

throughout the world have stopped having children?

Okay, so much for denial. Once you accept that change is happening,

LET GO OF FEAR. Realize that it is a time of change and not

necessarily a time of fear. Fear clouds good judgment and puts

heavy blocks between the inner intuition, which will be so important

during this time, and your conscious mind. The earth changing will

not kill you; it changes all the time! But fear, denial, and not

being open to your Inner Self and your intuition may.

Once accepted, and FEAR IS NOT AN ISSUE, investigate. Learn all you

can about what is happening. The Internet can be an invaluable tool

here. For the price of a VCR you can now interact with the

world on intimate terms from your living room or office. Through the

Internet, you'll be able to discover what you'll never hear on the

six o'clock news. You will no longer be at the mercy of news

programs governed and determined by entertainment ratings. . .

. . . A word of caution may be helpful when you begin your

investigating. When one steps out from under the umbrella of

mainstream media and begins to learn what is really happening in the

world, there is often the tendency towards anger. "Why hasn't anyone

told me this before?" "Why isn't this on the News?" "There's a

conspiracy going on to keep us in the dark!" My advice here is to

let it pass. Finding out who's responsible and the inner workings of

the

government or large conglomerate corporations is a tangent that will

not only waste time, but probably lead you into deeper anger and

fear and further away from love and truth.

Instead, take the path advised by the Hopi Elders and offered to the

world on June 15 over national radio. Rediscover your

spirituality. "If you change now, and change your life around, it

will help in the alleviation of much of the terrible outcome from

the cataclysms. There is a lot in store for all of us. And the

intensity

of this will be a lot less if we can all settle down and behave, and

not be in the actions that we are right now." The Hopi Elder went on

to explain that it makes no difference whether your

spirituality falls in line with an organized philosophy or religion,

or if it is something that you have come up with and practice on

your own. "Practice your spirituality, whatever it may be, like you

have never practiced it before." And realize that your consciousness

affects the outcome. Your consciousness affects everything. Realize

that your thoughts, words and actions of today contribute to what

the world will be like tomorrow.

There you have it. Four easy steps to surviving the earth changes

and all the prophecies. Keep your eyes open. Let go of fear.

Learn all you can. Live your spirituality.

It all sounds pretty simple. It almost sounds like it could even be

fun.

And that's a very important point to keep in mind. Fun.

True spirituality is fun. Very big fun. Joy is probably a better

word; bliss perhaps even better. If your spiritual path is not

leading you on a path of joy, I would suggest that it's perhaps time

to start shopping around. I have come to the understanding (and it

has taken a lot of sorrow to get here) that experiencing joy is the

most spiritual thing that one can do in the course of their day. Joy

is infectious. It changes and charges the very air that you walk

through. It lightens the hearts of those around you. And in these

troubled times I can think of no better healing energy to saturate

the Earth with. Joy! Why not take a few moments during each day just

to pause and think of something that makes you very happy? Try it.

You'll like it. It might even become a habit.

Well, I guess there's only one more point that need to be addressed

here. It's usually the position adopted by most sceptics and those

in denial as a justification for their position. "What if the Hopi

Elders are wrong?"" What if Gordon Michael Scallion, Robert Ghost

Wolf, Edgar Cayce, and all those other modern day prophets are

wrong?

What if the weather changes back to the way it has been in

the past? What if the birds, and the fish and babies come back? What

if there are no big earth changes? What if absolutely nothing

happens at all?

To this I can only reply, "Wouldn't that be nice?" We'd all be able

to breathe a collective sigh of relief and joy, take a look around

at the Heaven we've created here on Earth, and take great satisfaction

in the fact that we didn't have to go through Hell to get there.

Yes indeed, "WOULDN'T THAT BE NICE?"

Message From The Hopi Elders.
You have been telling the people that this is the Eleventh Hour.

Now you must go back and tell people that THIS is the hour.

And there are things to be considered:

Where are you living?

What are you doing?

What are your relationships?

Are you in right relation?

Where is your water?

Know your garden.

It is time to speak your truth.

Create your community.

Be good to each other.

And do not look outside yourself for the leader.

This could be a good time!

There is a river flowing now very fast.

It is so great and swift that there are those who will be afraid.

They will try to hold onto the shore.

They will feel they are being torn apart, and they will suffer greatly.

Know the river has its destination.

The elders say we must let go of the shore,

Push off into the river.

Keep our eyes open,

And our heads above the water.

See who is in there with you and celebrate.

At this time in history, we are to take nothing personally,

Least of all ourselves.

For the moment that we do, our spiritual growth and journey

Comes to a halt.

The time of the lone wolf is over. Gather yourselves!

Banish the word struggle from your attitude and vocabulary.

All that we do now must be done in a sacred manner and in celebration.

We are the One’s we’ve been waiting for.

On the dawn of a new year...

....older and wiser for the better, all lessons learned by the school of hard knoxx.  Looking back at my life, this past year has been unlike any other I have ever lived.  So much has changed, yet I am still the same, and I don't think thats a bad thing.  I like that I can still give people the benefit of the doubt, believe that everyone deserves a second chance,  and that it takes more energy to hate then it does to accept things that dont make sense right away, and in the end just be good to people who I feel in my heart deserve that.

On the other hand, there are two people who were once very prominant in my every day being, that I hope I never have to deal with ever again in my life, after the new year prevails.  These were people that I loved like family, did pretty much everything I could for, and lost a lot of my life and self in the process.  One I haven't really thought about since my daughter was born, he is no longer a part of my life, and I think that is best for the both of us since I dont think much of him, and he the same.....the other, I have to think about every day of my life as it is now since I am rooming with her son and soon to be ex-husband.

It took me a long time to decide weather or not I have room for this kind of person in my life, and now being a new mother and having another person who I love more then myself involved, I have come to the conclusion that, no, I do not want any part of this person.  I deserve friends that are willing to meet me half way, tell me the truth, and be more considerate of other people and realize that the world does not revolve around them. I don't need to be friends with a selfish glutton who can't even put their own childs need before their own wants.  No,  I am not, and cannot be  a friend to you any longer.

But I do owe this person a thank you for teaching me a very valuable lesson.......there are just some things that are so terrible that cannot be forgiven.  Enough said.

As for the other farewell said, I recieved a phonecall from his now former employer.  Aparently he left what was his "dream job" and they are now trying to locate him to give him a final paycheck.  Why they called here I don't really know.  Now this is someone that i have a feeling is truly in need of some kind of moral guidance (not by me mind you) but I feel partly responsible for to this day.  Had I not helped him relocate from one coast to my coast, he may still be a a small reflection of the person I used to know and truly care for.   Granted, he was a bit of a drinker when I met him, he was still a very talented writer, amongst many other things.   The relationship and friendship were long over when I hit the biggest milestone of my life in late October of this year. However, I was suprised when I said friend never even bothered to see if the baby had been born, or ever made any effort to see how I was doing.  Then again, like I mentioned earlier, we don't think very highly of eachother, so no real suprise there.  He has his life now, and no real reason to thank me for anything right?

Like I mentined earlier, I had no reason to think of this person ever again, untill the Hard Rock called me up to let me know he wasnt there anymore.  I kinda felt like I knew he was alright as long as he stayed employed. I was concerned for a moment, then I realized, this person has already made it clear that my concern was not needed.  So let it be.  The last message was sent, and I can't be bothered anymore.  All I want is that he get his shit together, truly cut all ties (and that includes having my phone number on former employers list of people to call in case of an emergency)so that I will no longer have the burden of being the middle man.  I really don't want to be bothered anymore, and I'd rather not know what happens in the end.  I feel like I should feel bad for this, but, I really don't.

This may seem harsh, but really these diatribes were just a small fraction of a large and irrepairable picture, that has been faded to virtually nothing.  In fact, they are  nothing, as am I to them, and I kinda like that even better.
So in conclusion, some people were just never worth the effort to begin with, especially when they had nothing to lose.  Right now I have more in my life then I have ever had.  I know enough now not to let anyone else get in the way of living for me, my husband, and my daughters.  I still have the people that have stuck by me through the hardest times I've seen as an adult, and they have all shown me that they are here because they want to be, not because they want what I have, or can give them.  These are the ones I owe my life to. I will never be able to thank truly, and are ok with that (you know who you are).

For the first time in a long time I am truly greatful for my love, my life, my new little family, and finally me.

Time to ring in the new.

..I became a Mommy. So I am having a proud mommy moment, and shamelessly plastering her picture all over my lj.

She also has a picture viewable from the net. This is actually the link to her first baby photo so y'all can see the outfit her Daddy picked out for her, and leave a comment or two.

Welcome Princess Maya.....The Firefly
Coming in at 7 lbs. 12 oz, and 20 1/2 inches Francine Maya "Firefly" Mindrup was born on October 29th, at 4:45 this past Sunday afternoon surrounded by her loving parents and ever growing family. She is as perfect as they come.

...after 19 hours of labor.

we welcomed our little firefly

and daddy was tickled pink.

She was brought home just in time for an All Hallows Eve gathering at my mother's house where she received her first bassinet and "blessed" my sister Jessie with her first real poop (hahahah sorry Jess). After dinner we passed her around and she got to see trick-or-treaters while visiting with her new grandparents.

There will be a welcoming party for her very soon, but until then.....

Happy Birthday and welcome, my new baby girl....

25% to go
We made it to another doctors appointment today, and found out that I went from being 50% effaced to 75% in the span of a week, and I am now between 1&2 centimeters. So, any day now I suppose, right? Good thing too, these contractions are killing me!!! I really don't mind being pregnant, but it is the pelvic exams so close to the end that are a nightmare....not to mention the cramping in the hips late at night. Oi!

The nesting period has definatly set in. I spent the last couple days clearing out and cleaning up our space here at home and prepping the overnight emergency room bags for the baby and myself.....or at least that has been my intention for the past couple nights....

Last night Marius and I headed to Babies r Us to look for a "bringing home baby" outfit. Since we still aren't completely sure about the sex of the baby, we decided it be best to find a nice neutral color. Leave it to my M to find the most adorable one...even tho he was clearly exhausted by day's end.

He picked out a little yellow and white sleeper with a little bear snoozing on a crescent moon in the front. He also picked up a matching little bear head beenie(complete with ears) and booties. Pair that up with two pairs of mittens, and a pack of yellow chick print receiving blankets, and I was a gushy camper.

I also came home with a little pink and white sleeper with little roses and a white bow in the front, just in case Dr. Mike was right and the baby is in fact a girl (although it's plain to see that M would love a lil man of his own). I already had a few pink accessories to play around with, because you never really know for sure till the day gets here. Ugh! This is the hard thing about it tho....the waiting.

*sigh* Ahhhhh well, from this point on, all that is left for me to do is pick up the bassinet that my parents bought for the little one, and do all the laundry before the baby gets here. It's only a matter of time now, and I do wish that there was some way of knowing how much left I actually do have. Meanwhile, I will try not to think about it so much (yeah right).

Needless to say, today will be another busy day for us.

That was really nice.
He takes me for a walk around the block just at sunset. Then he asks me if I want to to out for dinner. He takes me out to a nice little local place that has outside seating and quite the romantic setting. He makes me smile and laugh through the entire meal. One pitstop to grab my favorite candy bar and a box of lemmon tea for him before we head for home. We get back and he makes two cups of tea for us and he serves mine first. Then kisses my face and lips just because he can....even with his sleepy eyes that he is having trouble holding open. Then he throws a wink my way from across the table and kisses my belly whenever I stand next to him.

I truly do love this man.

Moment of "stoopid"
Never watch a scary movie all alone with the lights turned low before your evening shower!!

So here I sit in my comfy jammie bottoms, and a dirty boy beater huggling my cat because I am too much of a wuss to get off my butt and take my shower before my parents get home. Yeah silly I know, cuz it's not like the monsters in the idiot box can just jump out and grab me.........uhhh, even thou I just saw that happen in Polterguiest (no that isnt the movie that scared me).

Folks will be home within the hour, but in the meantime, I do belive that a dorky Johnny Depp flik is gonna be on in a few mintues, I just need to check my reminder for the evening. I do know a brainless Tom Hanks is on right this very moment is in mid run. Yeah that sounds good.

Maybe if I call Pops up on his way home from the wedding he and Ma are at, they can bring me a Chai Soy Latte if it isn't out of the way? Not like I need it, I've gained a total of 34lbs according to yesterday's doctors appointment. According to Doc, I am still well withing my weightrange, but if you ask me..........I am huge!!!!! *sigh* Well, it's a good thing I am cute. *grins*

Marius is still at Decom, and according to our last convo, he is having a pretty good time. This pleases me since I can't be out there with him, and since I also missed pretty much every fire event in the last 6 months at least. I know when he gets back tomorrow, not only will he still reek of the Garlic Fetuccini I made for him and J the other night, but I doubt he will have had a shower all weekend!!! Just like playa people, you just gotta love em'. *mental note, make sure water hose is hooked up at the front gate*

Ok all this babbling...or er..typing hasnt helped me not be scared, so I am gonna click my reminder button and hopefully, the folks will be home soon cuz I feel like I smell funny. I definatly want my shower now, but I don't want to end up like Janet Lee......teeheeeheee.

Whoo hooo! Cry-baby is just starting!!

"hey ya think Cry-baby has blue balls for the chick?"

You scored as Mermaid. Mermaid: Mermaids are also known as Sirens. These creatures were beautiful women who tricked sailors into becoming completely entranced by their haunting voices and found death soon after. Not all stories of Mermaids are about gentle loving sea people. They are mystical, magical, and extremely dangerous. They have a way about them that brings anyone they are around to seem enchanted. They are very mysterious creatures and to meet one... Would mean certain Death. Let the song of the Sea fill your soul, for you are a Mermaid.
